Dr. Dar-Hsin Chen joined the Faculty at the Department of Business Administration in the College of Business at the National Taipei University (NTPU) in the Fall of 2006. He currently serves as Vice President of Administrative Affairs at NTPU. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Mississippi and his M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Finance from the National Taiwan University. Dr. Chen’s research covers Risk Management, Derivative Pricing, Financial Markets, Corporate Finance, Asset Pricing, and Investment Strategies. Prior to coming to NTPU, he has served as a Finance Second Lieutenant in the Taiwan Army and taught at National Chiao-Tung University (Taiwan) and Tamkang University (Taiwan). His works have been published extensively in many prestigious academic journals such as Singapore Economic Review, International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Business Economics and Management, International Journal of Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis, Emerging Market Finance and Trade, Journal of Data Analysis, Applied Economics, Journal of Risk and Control, Applied Financial Economics, Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies, North American Journal of Economics and Finance, International Journal of Business, Corporate Management Review, Corporate Ownership and Control, Journal of Hospitality Financial Management, Journal of Emerging Market Finance, The Chinese Economy, Corporate Management Review, Physica A, Quarterly Journal of Finance and Accounting, Maritime Economics and Logistics, Tourism Management, Journal of Project Finance and several other international journals. He is also co‐author of three books: “Financial Risk Management”, "VaR: Theory and Application", and "Financial Mathematics" (all in Chinese).
